Fractional Growth Lead
Driving Partnerships & Retention Growth for Founder-Led Membership Community
Client: The Hub @ I Do Handmade
Sector: Membership Community / Founder-Led Business / Online Education
Role: Fractional Growth & Retention Partner
The Challenge
The Hub @ I Do Handmade was looking to strengthen member retention, increase engagement and create additional commercial growth opportunities within its founder-led online community model.
The focus was not simply on acquiring new members, but on building longer-term value through stronger partnerships, member experience and recurring revenue growth.
My Approach
After auditing the business, I worked across strategic growth, partnerships and retention, identifying opportunities to strengthen the ecosystem around the membership and increase value for both the business and its community.
Rather than relying solely on acquisition activity, the strategy focused on:
• Building commercially aligned partnerships
• Increasing perceived member value
• Strengthening engagement and retention
• Supporting long-term recurring revenue growth
Key initiatives included identifying and securing strategic platform partnerships that directly aligned with the audience and business model.
Results
Within the first three months, I secured strategic partnerships with:
• Pinterest
• Omnisend
• ManyChat
These partnerships helped strengthen the community offering, increase brand credibility and support wider member engagement and retention objectives.
The project further deepened my experience within subscription and community-led business models, particularly around retention psychology, member value and sustainable long-term growth.
