A Brand Strategist and Marketeer with over 20 years of hands-on experience.

Throughout my career, I’ve worked across a diverse range of sectors including FMCG, alcohol and drinks, hospitality, food, education, nursery, children’s products and events. I’ve delivered strategic marketing and brand plans for a spectrum of businesses — from large household names and national retailers to passionate independents and new product launches.

My approach is always grounded in understanding the heart of a brand. I’m a great listener, and I pride myself on getting under the skin of every business I work with, uncovering what makes it unique, and building results-driven strategies that help it grow. I care deeply about the brands I support, as well as the people behind them — nothing makes me happier than helping turn my clients’ ambitions into reality.

At its core, marketing is about creating value. Whether it’s delivering outstanding products and experiences for consumers, or supporting businesses and retailers to increase sales and build customer loyalty — it’s about adding meaningful value where it matters most. I’m passionate about championing smaller, independent brands who deserve to stand proudly alongside the multinationals. The market thrives on choice, and these brands deserve their slice of the pie.

Over the years, I’ve been fortunate to work both nationally and internationally, developing a strong ability to navigate different markets, cultures and perspectives. I consider myself a clear and empathetic communicator, experienced at leading teams through change, adapting strategies as needed, and always ensuring people feel heard, valued and united behind a shared goal.

I’ve built my career from the ground up, working across every level and department, which has given me a deep understanding of what makes a business tick — from the intern to the owner, and from the cleaner to the Finance Director. I firmly believe that every role matters and every person contributes to a company’s success.

Why Roots Marketing Co.?

I chose the name Roots because, for me, it represents where every brand’s strength lies. In a fast-moving world, it’s easy for businesses to lose sight of what makes them special. My mission is to help brands stay connected to their roots — the values, purpose and story that make them unique — and build from there with the right expertise, strategy and creative direction. By nurturing strong foundations, we can develop brands in meaningful, authentic ways that grow, evolve and stand the test of time.

My Approach

It all starts with a conversation. I want to get to know your brand and it’s roots. During the initial meeting I like to have an informal chat about your brand, your vision and why you are engaging with a Marketeer. It is also your chance to get to know me and gauge whether I am the right fit for you. I will recommend which of my services I think would be best for you and we agree on next steps together. I always like to present my work and have face to face (digital or in person) meetings to avoid misunderstandings and ensure best use of time. I believe great ideas come from real conversations rather than just email and Whatssap (or any other digital coms platform!).

I will always ensure I am offering the most cost effective way to deliver your vision or your deliverables. I will use relevant AI platforms to increase efficiency but will never solely rely on AI or make use of it without sense checking.
