Throughout my career in the drinks industry, I’ve naturally paired brands with the foodie space — a relationship I’ve successfully cultivated and leveraged across a range of activations.
For smaller brands, I’ve identified and secured sponsorship opportunities and partnerships within leading foodie festivals and events. With medium to larger brands, I’ve created bespoke, brand-curated food experiences designed to immerse audiences and elevate brand presence.
Notably, while working with Estrella Galicia, I partnered with prestigious organisations including London Restaurant Festival, Gastronomous, American Express, Great British Chefs, and Brindisa. Through this, I developed Little Galicia, an experiential brand activation offering guests a taste of Galicia through expertly curated food and beer pairings. Initially hosted within partner restaurants, the concept grew in popularity and, after two years, evolved into Estrella Galicia Gastronomy Month — the UK’s largest Spanish food festival.
This month-long campaign featured hosted pairing menus, restaurant collaborations, London and Cardiff’s Longest Lunch (complete with boat rides!), Tapas Tours, Masterclasses, and exclusive Beer & Bite events. Over 200 venues across the UK participated annually, supported by an integrated media, digital, PR, and in-outlet marketing campaign. The success of Gastronomy Month saw it run for four consecutive years under my management and became a flagship activation within Estrella Galicia’s global strategy, with other markets adopting the concept. I oversaw this activity from concept to strategy and worked with relevant teams to build a brand in itself which became recognised and celebrated.
Alongside experiential activity, I built a strong network of Chef Ambassadors across the UK and Ireland. These talented chefs acted as brand advocates, creating engaging content for both Estrella Galicia and their own restaurant platforms. I’ve been proud to collaborate with some of the UK’s top Spanish chefs, including renowned TV personalities Nieves Barragán and Owen Morgan. These relationships also secured valuable commercial partnerships, including product listings, brand endorsements, increased visibility, and collaborative content creation.
To drive awareness and rate of sale in the multiple on-trade I have worked with Marketing Teams to create bespoke campaigns and strategies for brands such as Greene King, Metropolitan Pub Co, Chef & Brewer, Pub & Grill. I also forged deep relationships with key Spanish restaurants including Michelin Star Sabor and Barrafina as well as award winning Brindisa, Iberica, Kaltur and Bar 44.
